Discovery Fish Tank

For the month of August there will be a Discovery Fish Tank on display at the Children’s Reference desk. The tank was assembled by Bayport Blue Point Library patrons and the Suffolk County Marine Environmental Learning Center at Cornell Cooperative Extension during a children’s program on August 4.

On view in the 10 gallon salt water tank are: ribbed mussel, a hard shell clam, Atlantic slipper shell snails, common periwinkle snails, mud snails, long and flat clawed hermit crabs, crayfish, killifish and sheepshead minnows.
